At RiseGuide, we believe everyone deserves to walk into that important moment feeling confident and ready. To mark the Pride Month this June, we’re giving free access to our app and the Speech Analyzer training tool to anyone preparing for that conversation. Practice what you want to say, find the right words without the emotional pressure of the moment, repeat until it feels natural, and build the confidence to say those things out loud.

Why we’re doing this

Coming out is one of the most stressful conversations many LGBTQ+ people ever face. In a nationally representative Pew Research Center survey, about 4 in 10 American LGBTQ+ adults said they had been rejected by a family member or close friend because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, and most who came out to a parent described the experience as difficult.

Few people are ever taught how to prepare for those conversations. The words get stuck, the nerves take over, especially since you only get one shot.

At RiseGuide, we recently launched Speech Analyzer, an AI-powered training tool that lets users rehearse small talk and public speaking, and provides personalised feedback based on 4 criteria: pace, confidence, pauses, and structure.

Now we want it to serve those who might need it the most.
